Family Letter Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated: October 2026 · Applies to: Family Letter (Google Play) and this official website

Summary: Family Letter does not collect, store, upload, or share any of your personal data. Everything you record in the app is encrypted and stored locally on your own phone.

1. What information do we collect?

We collect no information. Family Letter requires no account and does not collect your name, phone number, email address, device identifiers, location, or any usage statistics. The 12 categories of family asset records you enter, your letter pages, and any attachments (PDFs, images, text documents, spreadsheets) are inaccessible to the developer.

2. How data is stored and encrypted

All data lives only on the user's phone. Locally and when exported as a .vault backup, data is protected by AES-256 encryption and years of cryptography engineering. The decryption password exists only in the user's memory; if forgotten, even the developer cannot reset it or decrypt the data.

3. What the network is used for

Vault data never goes online and is never uploaded to any server. The only network use is Google Play Billing for in-app purchase and restoring purchases.

4. Data minimization on this website

This website follows the same strict data-minimization principle: no third-party tracking or analytics scripts, no advertising cookies, and no forms that collect personal information. To load fonts and styles, the site makes requests to font and style CDNs (which can see the visitor's IP and browser information), but it includes no analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts and collects no personal information.

5. Contact us
